Session 3 | Interwoven: Exploring Environmental Justice with Faith Leaders

In this session, we experience practices from diverse faith and spiritual perspectives and learn how different traditions understand the importance of care for the environment and justice.


Session 4 | Climate Resilience from a Justice Perspective

This session explores how communities can center justice when building climate resilience. Session Panelists are Karyn Bigelow from Creation Justice Ministries, Delmar Gillus Jr. of Elevate, and Elena Grossman from the University of Illinois Chicago.


Justice work and healing work are inseparable. This session explored this intersection and how people of faith and spirituality embody the two in their communal lives. Session speakers were: Annabeth Roeschley (they/she), Executive Director of the Brethren Mennonite Council (BMC) for LGBTQ Interests, and Karen Simms, Program Director for Trauma & Resilience Initiative, Inc. with a healing practice from Chetna Mehta.
